Marketing /Social Media Coordinator

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Engage target audience through various social mediums to create online conversations about Perfect World games & events
  • • Liaise with Community Managers to establish consistency across networks
  • • Research emerging social media networks, monitor web buzz & suggest new marketing initiatives based upon emerging trends.
  • • Coordinate blogs, developer diaries, videos & tools to expand visibility of each game
  • • Monitor online discussion boards & report trends to the Management team
  • • Assist in trade show and event planning
  • • Develop marketing campaigns that include social media techniques to expand game & company visibility
  • • Track and monitor the reach of online marketing efforts
  • • Coordinate and distribute videos, blogs, interviews & other assets to the public
  • • Assist with special assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • • BA in Marketing, Communications, New Media or Related Field.
  • • Minimum 1 year Public Relations, Marketing or Community Management experience.
  • • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Microsoft Project a plus.
  • • Excellent communication skills, diplomacy/people skills a must.
  • • Self-started with team orientation.
  • • Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • • Exceptional writing skills in both traditional formats & web jargon.
  • • Must have active accounts across key social media sites including, but not limited to, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter. (You will be asked to provide links to accounts you have established and maintained.)
  • • Gaming industry and mmorpg guild experiences a plus.
Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Responsible for the management of multiple projects, and ongoing operations
  • • Write technical requirements and functional specifications
  • • Manage all offshore development and development resources
  • • Facilitate gathering of user / technical requirements from all areas of the organization
  • • Act as a liaison between business process owners and technical development team
  • • Lead all aspects of web development project management: budget, scope, goals, delivery timeline, and testing
  • • Manage tracking and resolution of software defects
  • • Manage software release process and change control
  • • Conduct code reviews and QA

Requirements:

  • • 3+ years of technical project management experience
  • • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience
  • • Experience as a software developer. Must have at least intermediate skill level in HTML / CSS / PHP / MySQL / SVN / Linux
  • • Experience managing software / web development process
  • • Experience writing technical specifications
  • • Experience testing and debugging other developer’s code
  • • Ability to organize busy people and in fast-paced technical environment

IT Helpdesk Support Specialist

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment and other products along with associated software products.
  • • Set up desk locations with computer, monitors, peripherals, phone and data ports
  • • Install and maintain conference room audio/video equipment
  • • Maintain Inventory Assets and Asset Tagging both Software/Hardware products
  • • Responsible for the Purchasing of IT Equipments (Desktops/Servers/Network Equipments)
  • • Management of Backups of Data from IDC locations and local intranet servers including disaster recovery
  • • Process standard equipment requests
  • • Liaise with and provide basic training and support to end users and staff on equipment operation and other issues.
  • • Install, configure, maintain and support MS Windows clients and Exchange Server including Active Directory

Requirements:

  • • 2 years MS Office client support/helpdesk experience
  • • BS in IT, CS, or related discipline

  • • Prioritizes tasks effectively to complete deliverables on time.
  • • Ability to work closely with end users and understand their needs and requirements.
  • • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and communications problems.

  • • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality of work.
  • • Incumbent may be required to move or relocate computer equipment; incumbent must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
Flash Designer

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Work with the creative team to concept and implement Flash projects including web sites, interactive ads, flash video players, landing pages, micro-sites, and Rich internet applications.
  • • Give creative input regarding enhancements using Flash and related technologies.
  • • Expert in optimizing Flash to reduce CPU usage as well as reducing the file size to fit within standard banner ads requirements.
  • • Work with Adobe After Effects to create video effects for use within Flash applications.
  • • Utilize XML to dynamically update Flash applications.
  • • Work with Rich Media vendor platforms to integrate third party technologies and scripts within ads.

Requirements:

  • • Stellar Web/Interactive Portfolio (Flash Banners, Rich Media).
  • • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in Graphics Design or related field.
  • • Extensive knowledge of Adobe CS3 Flash, as well as a good knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • • Minimum of 3 years strong Flash experience.
  • • Expert level ActionScript (2 and 3) programming.
  • • Strong understanding of web standards and technologies.
  • • Expert knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion.
  • • Expert knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash.
Web Designer

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Create high quality graphics using pre-existing concept artwork
  • • Conceptualize the layout and organization of the sites
  • • Apply colors and images along with CSS style sheets for graphics and websites
  • • Communicate design assets, use cases and process flow to Development teams
  • • Successfully apply principles of graphic, interactive, user-interface, and information design to improve the development of websites

Requirements:

  • • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • • 3+ years of professional web design experience
  • • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and HTML/CSS page creation tools
  • • A creative sense with the ability to adapt various graphic styles

Quality Assurance Tester (Local Candidates Only)

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Perform routine testing of our games before deployment and before patches and updates
  • • Know the game inside and out and finding issues or flaws within the game
  • • Write bug reports in a format where the procedure can be clearly understood by all parties
  • • Use tools to monitor networking and game functionality
  • • Assist in the monitoring of our online games and providing technical support
  • • Collect, investigate, and process various data regarding in-game issues, exploits, and bugs

Requirements:

  • • Must have completed High School Proficiency Exam with a strong passion for games
  • • A strong dedication to user satisfaction, attention to detail, and technical aptitude with computers
  • • The ability to execute processes to accomplish goals and tasks

MySQL DBA

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Data mining from raw log files into relational database, maintenance and tuning of mission-critical MySQL databases
  • • Solid knowledge of scalable schema design principals and provide assistance to development/design teams, and recommend best practices both in code and database design including creation of Stored Procedures and Indexing
  • • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
  • • Experience in updating MySQL instances in a high volume environment 100M+ rows
  • • Extensive writing support of scripts in Perl/PHP/Python and/or Shell/Bash
  • • Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems and work with development teams on data sizing based on efficient use of multi-core systems
  • • Manage database backups and ensure disaster recovery and data retention protocols (backup, monitoring, security, installation)
  • • Provide 24/7 support for critical production situations

Requirements:

  • • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
  • • 3+ Years DBA experience in development or production capacity
  • • 3+ Years experience designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying and updating MySQL instances in a high volume environment with critical 100% uptime requirements
  • • Experience in Replication (Master - Master, Master to Slave...)
  • • MySQL 5.x experience required (InnoDB and MyISAM, and other engines)
  • • Scripting language knowledge of bash/perl/php
  • • 3+ years of deep experience with Linux System Administration

Senior Database Administrator

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Plan, develop and maintain 3D online gaming databases, including standards development/definition, documentation of systems architecture, and development of project plans using new DB products, releases, and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • • Master's degree in computer, engineering, or scientific field, MCDBA certification and 1year experience in above duties using MS SQL Server 2000/2005, BCP, DTS and SSIS.
Customer Service/Billing Representative (Local Candidates Only)

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Help the community by providing support both in and out of game.
  • • Resolve tickets/emails in a timely manner with accurate resolutions.
  • • Participate in phone/live chat conversations if and when necessary.
  • • Build a sense of trust and security within the user base to help expand the community.
  • • Research our library of game titles to better understand the possible plight of the user.
  • • Collect, research, and investigate possible in-game problems, exploits, and bugs.
  • • Provide reports to management addressing common customer concerns and current issues.
  • • Provide suggestions based on trend analysis of common customer concerns and issues.
  • • Investigate possible fraud-related payments.
  • • Approve or reject payments made for virtual currency.
  • • Investigate possible fraud-related registrants.
  • • Perform policing duties as an in-game Game Master.

Requirements:

  • • Must be knowledgeable in written and spoken English.
  • • Must be well organized, able to prioritize tasks, and have a good sense of time management
  • • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • • Able to effectively communicate thoughts and solutions to clients, staff, and management.
  • • Game industry experience is preferred and highly desired.
Community Management Specialist

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Establish and moderate online community forums.
  • • Coordinate & manage community forum moderators.
  • • Actively engage users through Q&A forums and monitor community activity regularly.
  • • Maintain forums according to our policy.
  • • Provide community feedback to marketing and production team.
  • • Build and cultivate an online community of affluent users.
  • • Responsible for writing, reviewing and approving posts/articles on content related to the site.

Requirements:

  • • Very strong web communication skills. Blogging experience a plus.
  • • Strong track record of engaging users and growing online communities.
  • • Good understanding of online communities and online forum etiquette.
  • • Extremely well organized and detail oriented.
  • • Experience with MMORPG's
  • • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • • At least 1 year of prior similar experience.
Product Manager

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • • Provide product management leadership throughout the products lifecycle (market/product requirement documents, pricing, forecasts, roadmaps, messaging, go-to-market plans, etc.)
  • • Plan/manage the marketing campaign for the products lifecycle.
  • • Identify & create new business opportunities by market research, customer and partner feedback, industry knowledge, internal company dies and creative vision.
  • • Prepare and present strategic, competitive, and market analysis for the product.
  • • Ensure technical and product messaging accuracy of customer, partner, and reseller marketing materials.
  • • Create and organize community events.

Requirements:

  • • Game industry experience is preferred and highly desirable.
  • • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • • Strong ability to critically analyze market problems and define clear, detailed, and logical product and service solutions.
  • • Strong oral, written, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • • High level of professionalism, integrity, confidence and commitment.
