As stated on the PWI: Genesis Teaser site, the Seeker is "A dominant warrior who deftly manipulates a colossal blade; his sword skills are a sight to behold."
That statement is no joke, and we wanted to take this opportunity to show you a few of the different skills that show precisely why the Seeker is such an impressive and enjoyable class to play.
Please note that skill names and descriptions are subject to change.
Northern Sky Sword
A self "buff" that lasts for 10 minutes. Signified by a fiery-red glow on your claymore. During this time, every time you attack, there is a 30% chance that you will apply Eye of Northern Sky Sword to the enemy. If an enemy is then attacked with another skill, "Wind-Breaking Sword", during this time, the enemy will become immobilized, take extra damage, and lose Defense Level temporarily.
This mechanic is one of the things that makes the Seeker a fun class to use– it's basically meant to keep you more engaged as you fight, ready to reel off a chain skill when the moment is right to maximize your effectiveness. Northern Sky Sword is one of many self buffs that work this way, each of them calling for a different skill to be used in sequence and each of them having a unique effect on the enemy.
Heart Burning Sword
A 20 second debuff. When you attack the enemy with a Fire or Earth skill, the Critical Strike Rate and Damage of that skill will be increased for that attack. Heart Burning Sword, in and of itself, does no damage, but is used to set up your Fire and Earth direct damage skills for the next 20 seconds. Perfect for boss fights or cutting through your opponent's Platinum Charm!
Lord of Sword
AOE Channeling Skill that attacks nearby enemies every 1.5 seconds! Lasts until canceled, or until no mana remains. One of the skills that makes the Seeker a fearsome sight on any battlefield.
Yeah, there are going to be a lot of Seekers come February. Hope you enjoyed the show, and stay tuned for next week, as we'll be showcasing the skills of the mysterious Earthguard Mystic!
