Free MMORPG – Perfect World International – PWI – Genesis Preview: Mystic Skills

The Earthguard Mystic is a powerfully versatile caster– She can keep to the back lines casting direct damage spells and healing her allies, or she can jump into the fray with one of her many summonable pets. In this post we would like to give you a taste of what kinds of abilities you can look forward to using when you finally get to take control of this flexible magic-user!
Please note that all skill names and descriptions are subject to change.
Soul Absorb
This is a ranged attack spell that does major damage to a single target. Its relatively high mana cost, however, means that you'd be wise to save it for the tail end of its corresponding skill chain, when it does double damage. Another interesting thing about this spell is that its damage is far greater when it's used on monsters rather than other players, for PvP balance.
Cloud and Mist
This visually stunning skill is an AoE heal that recovers the HP of all group members within 18 meters of the caster. It, along with various single-target heals as well as a resurrect spell, make the Mystic an extremely useful ally to have at your side.
Valiant Avatar Emerges
The Earthguard Mystic will be only the second PWI character class to be able to travel around with a "Combat Pet". However, don't let this fool you into thinking that she'll be a mere copy of the Venomancer– the Mystic actually summons her ally to fight alongside her, and has to "transmit" her own mana to this creature so that it can use its skills. The Valiant Avatar is the first such creature you will learn to summon, and it starts off with some strong physical attacks, including a melee stun.

I used to have a lvl 47 Cleric but I couldn't hold my own against monsters and couldn't solo. Mystic looks so awesome because I can still heal which I love to do AND fight AND have a pet!!! I need to download PWI again!

uh..o.O seems pretty cool but doesnt it seem kinda OP? The new classes seem OP to me. I'm planning on playing a mystic..but my main is a cleric and whats so not fair is that mystics can rez themselves ( wtf so not fair) and they could summon pets to help attack...-.- . They're a mix of mage,veno,and cleric...mage is probably the best DD, veno..solo class ( but nowhere as good as venos ;) ) and the healer class..are you guys just throwing random OP classes into the game or what?

So wait you have already wiped mages and archers of with the tideborn and now your wiping out clerics, venos and bms with the earthguards?... I guess the next class is going to wipe barbs from the world?

mystics and cleric can only be compared by healing for mystics have a greater effct because it does 2 things at once with huge mana cost, clerics can heal for the hell of it......clerics will always be needed for dungeons to me mystics are just backup dd's with the power to heal and rez if cleric dies

Hello, everyone the only thing i, wanna tell is I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE GENESIS SO PLEASE PLEASE LET THEM COME FAST!! (if you don't believe me i, putted 3 comments on this blog) BTW about the flying i, think they have air flyers you know in spy movies they have cool gadgets those flyers they have i, saw it on www.youtube.com then put in perfect world genesis fly then you'll see it like they always says: see you in the game! my main char name is superassasin :)
